I am concerned about the spinach in your dietsUpdated 7 months ago

Our diets are very rich in vitamin A (retinol). For adult maintenance AAFCO requires a minimum of 3332 IU/KG and a maximum of 333,300 IU/KG for vitamin a or 833 IU on a caloric basis. Our diets are very rich in vitamin A and actually exceed the minimum requirements by 5-9x the minimum requirement. Organ meat, in particular liver, is rich in vitamin a, providing well over 100% of the recommended daily intake. Spinach is not the relied source for vitamin a in the diets.

Spinach should not be of concern either. Our spinach is steamed and drained before it is put into the foods - the process of steam cooking the meat actually reduces the amount of calcium oxalate in the spinach before it is even added to the diets. Additionally, this ingredient is less than 2% of the diet - there is not enough spinach to cause a concern among a pet even with kidney or urinary concerns.
