Can I use your diets for health concerns/medical issues?Updated 7 months ago

Nothing herein is to be construed as veterinary advice. We always recommend consulting your vet when determining the suitability of any pet food. We have pet owners who tell us they are using all our diets with success for health issues such as kidney disease, urinary concerns, digestive upset, IBD, diabetes, obesity, thyroid issues, sensitivities, etc. However, we are not allowed to make implied or explicit drug claims as per FDA regulations, so we always suggest consulting with your vet when determining the suitability of our diets.

We are a first of a kind diet to use only high-quality breast, loin & filet cuts of meat, poultry & fish; and not bone or carcass. This results in a high meat, poultry or fish pate diet with low calcium, phosphorous, magnesium & ash without using vegetable protein which can damage the kidneys like most pet foods. Since we have low mineral content compared to most meat based pate pet foods, our primary protein comes from 99.8% animal protein, and our diets have no substantial carb content, we are a great diet for pets with kidney disease, sensitive stomachs, IBD, urinary tract issues & diabetes. We believe our trace mineral levels are appropriate for both dogs & cats with these issues. Since meat, poultry & fish naturally have calcium, phosphorous, magnesium & ash, it's difficult to find a non-fish based or non-stew based product with lower levels and if the levels are lower, those diets are often high in vegetable based proteins which is hard on the kidneys.

Ultimately, we believe it's important to find a diet that is not only low in trace minerals for kidney & urinary support, but the protein source is also imperative. You want to ensure the protein source is primarily from quality animal based protein & not vegetable proteins like most pet foods today. We match both qualities.

We can send you specific figures for each diet, upon request. We have many many pet owners who have pets with kidney disease, sensitive stomachs, IBD, urinary tract issues & diabetes with much success.

*Always remember to consult your vet when trying to treat a specific health concern.
